5 Best Shareit Alternatives in 2022

SHAREit is the best file-sharing app, and it can easily rival Apple’s AirDrop. It excels at sharing many files, including photos, music, contacts, and apps. It boasts faster transfers than Bluetooth or NFC. SHAREit’s ads are often criticized for being too heavy. Trend Micro, a cybersecurity firm, found that the app has serious security flaws that could be used by attackers to steal sensitive files or execute remote code. Here are some SHAREit alternatives you might consider.

After exploring tons of file-sharing applications, I can confidently say that there are a lot of them on the market. Not all file-sharing apps can replace SHAREit. Some apps offer a more seamless experience while others make bulk transfers easy.

There are many apps that allow for lightning-fast file transfer. No matter what is on your priority list or not, there are many options to SHAREit that will work for you. Let’s get to it!

List of 5  Best ShareIt Alternatives

#1 Files from Google

Files by Google is a great shareIt alternative for file sharing apps that you can use in place of ShareIt. It is Google’s file manager app, which is free on Google Play Store. This means it is ad-free and bloat-free. There are many interesting features that can help you organize and clean up your files. But file-sharing is the best feature. You can share music, documents, and apps to other devices with the app without needing an active internet connection. In my testing, the file-sharing speed was fast and reliable.

The Files by Google file sharing feature is great, but unlike ShareIt, it is only available for Android. You can’t use Files by Google to share files to Apple or PCs.

Pros:

File sharing is possible without the internet

Sharing is fast

It’s simple and clean to use

Cons:

Only available for Android

#2 Elapp

Elapp, a file transfer app that is growing in popularity, has cross-platform support and a contemporary interface. This one allows you to share files across Android and iOS as well as Windows and macOS. To transfer files, you will need to have a Wi-Fi signal. Elapp was easy to use for file transfers between devices and platforms. Elapp can only send files up to 100MB. You should look into other options if large files are desired.

Advantages:

Modern UI

Easy detection and reliable connection

Cross-platform

Disadvantages:

Limit of 100MB file size

Requires Wi Fi network

#3 Send Anywhere

Send Anywhere is a SHAREit alternative that’s more powerful and efficient. Its ability to send the original file size is what I think makes it stand out from other file transfer apps. This could be an important feature for people who don’t want file-sharing apps to ruin the quality of their files. It also allows you to send files around the globe, unlike SHAREit.

To send and receive files, the app provides a 6-digit security code. You can share files with multiple people using a secure link that is valid for 48 hours. You can also send a notification to the target device if you wish to allow the recipient to view the file without entering the security key.

Send Anywhere delivers speedy results. It does require an internet connection to share files, which is not the case with SHAREit. The former has a better user interface and more reliable functionality than the latter. However, the freemium version has limitations and you’ll need to pay $5.99 per month if you want to expand the functionality.

Pros:

Send the original size

Send files anywhere in the world

Cons:

A strong internet connection is required

Premium version is more expensive

#4 Snapdrop

Snapdrop, just like SHAREit, can also compete with Apple’s popular file-sharing protocol, “AirDrop”. Snapdrop’s simple sharing of data between devices makes it an attractive option. You can also share any file you like, regardless of its size.

It is strikingly similar to AirDrop’s interface. The interface doesn’t need many configurations, making it easier to use. It is a web-only application, so it needs an Internet connection. This is in contrast to SHAREit. The open-source app offers security and protection for your data. There shouldn’t be a worry. This is an excellent online file sharing platform that SHAREit users can use.

Pros:

AirDrop is an easy-to-use interface

Reliable functionality

Cons:

Internet connection required

#5 Nearby Share

Nearby Share is often referred to as Google’s alternative to Airdrop. Nearby Share was first introduced by Google in August 2013 for Android phones with Marshmallow or higher. Nearby Share is powered by Google Play Services so it’s safe to assume that all modern Android phones will have Nearby Share.

Nearby Share also supports Bluetooth Low Energy and WebRTC as well peer-to-peer WiFi Direct (WiFi Direct). You can therefore share files even when you don’t have Wi-Fi access. We have a linked article that explains how to use Nearby Share with Android devices. You can also enable Nearby Share on Chromebooks to speed up file transfer.

Pros:

Android phones come with built-in GPS

Clear UI

Cons:

At this time, Windows, macOS and Linux are not available

No encryption

“Feem” claims it offers the ultimate file-sharing experience. After putting the app to the test, I can confirm that it is one of my favorite SHAREit alternatives. It’s known for its ability to make file sharing offline quick and easy, just like SHAREit. It was able to handle large files well during my testing. Even if you have to deal with large files often, this shouldn’t be a problem.
